When I was a kid, I dreamed of being an author. I did little about it while in school, but that’s when the dream started. While in the Army, I noodled around with a few short pieces, not doing much with them, but taking way too much pride in the few words I wrote. Youthful hubris, I guess.

I’m a movie star!
That might be hyperbole, but I am in a movie. Not a YouTube Short or an Instagram Reel that I filmed on my phone, but a real movie with a script, a director, and a film crew! It seems that I’m getting ahead of myself. Maybe I should slow down and explain how this all came about.

In 2006, I noodled around with the idea of drawing a comic book. I wasn’t writing much at this point and was looking for a creative outlet. Unfortunately, I’m not that great of an artist, and that was made clear by my inability to draw faces.
